POSITION DESCRIPTION
Our client is a global company, it is a FORTUNE 500 companies with over 70,000 employees worldwide. Their Suzhou facility produces mechanical and electrical components and motors for application in specific industry segments.
Our client is seeking a mature yet hands on leader charged with the task of leading a quality department with a staff team of approximately twenty staff The best fit candidate will eat and breathe the company’s vision of quality from a strategic and day to day perspective. In this area they will lead by example and always be ready to “roll up their sleeves” to ensure quality standards are implemented and maintained throughout the company. In turn creating a culture of quality that drives performance at all levels within the site operation. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
· Definition of Quality vision for the site and translation in site Quality action plan · Implementation of Quality processes and follow up · Responsibility for management of budget, people development, · Management of site certifications and related implications |

REQUIREMENTS
Key Requirements · Typically 8 – 10 years experience in a relevant role. · Knowledge of Quality processes and tools · Knowledge of IRIS and ISO standards · Knowledge of Quality tools (problem solving, 8D, FMEA, …) · Management of a department with all associated responsibilities (budget, people, …) · Influencing the local management team with quality mindset
Additional Requirements · Have good commercial awareness and knowledge of several disciplines within a sub-function and how their processes and resources interact with other disciplines within the sub-function. Contributes towards improvements in processes & flows. · Responsible for growth and development of direct reports, including performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, termination and other personnel actions · Adapts plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. · Directly manages one or more directly affiliated teams of professionals, team leaders or supervisors. · Solves operational issues through the development of solutions to potentially complex problems focusing on new · techniques, processes and workflows which may influence future policy formation · The impact of the role is on a work area such that the performance of the role eventually impacts the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function. May have budgetary responsibility · Demonstrates strong communication and diplomacy skills and the ability to guide, influence and convince others and communicate complex concepts |
